Book donations

All of the items at our Carpe Librum sales are generously donated by our community. We collect books that are dropped off at our store, and schedule pick-ups in the DC area.

If you would like to donate new children’s books to support our free book initiatives, please contact books@turningthepage.org.

How to donate

If you have less than 5 boxes

You can drop off these donations at any of our sales.

You can also drop off donations at our pop-up store at 1350 I Street NW. We are currently open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 12pm-6pm.

If you have 5 or more boxes

You can request a pick-up for 5 or more boxes.

Please note:

  • We kindly ask that donations be left in a street-accessible location for seamless pick-up.
  • We do not enter houses or apartments to pick-up items.
  • We prefer that donations be in banker boxes measuring 10″ x 12″ x 15″, or an equivalent size. Please, no boxes much larger than this size.
