Digital Resource Hub

The Digital Hub is a centralized location for information and resources for everyone involved with Turning the Page. Hosted on Facebook, parents, teachers, and community partners can access and share learning resources for educating children at home.

2020 presented many challenges to parents and teachers alike and the Digital Hub was created to help overcome some of these hurdles. Content covers many topics, from math to mental health as well as tips and tricks to navigate distance learning. All of the information on the Digital Hub is designed to be engaging and accessible to all ages and education levels.

How it Works

Our Digital Hub is free to use and access by joining our Facebook group. Similar in format to any other closed Facebook group, the TTP Digital Hub is streamlined for ease of use and familiarity.

By becoming a group member, users will be able to access information like upcoming TTP events, community resources, and school-specific alerts. Parents will also have access to a variety of supplemental educational materials that cover a range of subjects including math, literacy, social-emotional learning (SEL), science, and more. Better yet, the resources stay on the platform and are sorted by topic, so parents will be able to save and use them whenever they need to.

Parents, teachers, school staff and community partners will also be able to connect with each other through interactions and comments. In isolating times such as these, building community is as important as ever. Community partners including local museums and libraries will also be able to post content and connect with families, broadening the scope of the platform and the resources that are available. TTP will also use the Digital Hub to advertise our virtual Family Room events, where families will be able to talk to authors, illustrators, museum professionals, zookeepers, and more! TTP’s Digital Hub is a unique way to stay connected to student learning and each other while remaining physically distant.

“It’s nice to be able to have videos and readings for [my children] to look at,” said one parent. “And the crafting and special projects are also very fun during a hard time.”

“[TTP Resources] help me give a different way of getting in reading to my students, instead of me always reading to her. It’s kind of like a break, she gets to listen to the actual author or someone else read besides me.”

“It gives [my son] ideas for other stuff to do besides classwork. Even if it’s just a book to read… He gets really excited about it!”

“Your resources were right at the beginning of the closure…keeping us in tune, keeping up with what kids can do differently, so I really think you guys did an awesome job as starting as early as you did, where the school system kind of fell a little behind and then caught up with things that the kids can do. So I think you guys were really important!”
