Thousands of gently used books, CDs, and DVDs all under $6!
Turning the Page has yearly “pop-up” book sales in Washington, D.C. and Chicago! Each Carpe Librum (“seize the book“) location sells books, CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records that were donated by the public. All proceeds go to Turning the Page in support of our program initiatives.
Pop-up Locations
We’re currently hosting pop-ups in the Washington D.C. area in Dupont Circle and Rockville, Maryland. Carpe Librum’s two Chicago pop-ups are welcome additions to the initiative, located in Block 37 and the Thompson Center. See store information below.
How to Donate
If you would like to donate books, CD’s, DVD’s, or vinyl records, we accept donations of any genre and for all ages with the exception of encyclopedias, magazines or journal publications, text books 10 years or older, and VHS or cassette tapes. Schedule a book pickup for five or more boxes from your home or business at no cost to you. Give us a call or email at our D.C. or Chicago locations for more information. Feel free to drop off donations in person any time our bookstores are open – no appointment necessary!
